離開台灣接近三十年, 僑居加拿大多倫多, 心裡面總是思想著寶島故鄉, 不僅僅思念家人和好友, 也一直盼望可以為這片土地做點甚麼. 2024年底第一次和1919團隊單車環島, 15天的騎乘過程中不但結交了很多的好朋友, 每天也在汗水和淚水當中度過. 汗水是因為騎乘很辛苦, 很不容易,但是每次的突破都給我繼續騎下去的勇氣. 淚水是在每一個1919服務中心裡面聽到很多感人的故事, “一個台灣, 兩個世界” 這句話深深植在我的心裡面. 我親眼看見在台灣仍然有很多人面對生活環境的挑戰, 而1919急難救助真的能在困難的時候帶下最及時的幫助.
有一天在禱告中, 突然覺得有個問題在問我自己, “既然參與1919這件事這麼好, 這麼重要, 我為什麼只是把這件事當成人生中一個待辦事項, 我做完了, 打過勾了, 然後就結束了?” 所以經過再次的禱告確認之後我決定再次參加. 但是這次的參與不再是我個人的願望達成, 我的參與是為許許多多有需要的急難家庭.

Having left Taiwan and lived in Toronto, Canada for nearly thirty years, I've always held a special place in my heart for my homeland. I not only miss my family and friends, but I've also always hoped to contribute to this beautiful island.
At the end of 2024, I joined the 1919 team for my first cycling trip around Taiwan. Over the 15-day journey, I made many great friends and spent each day pushing through a mix of sweat and tears. The sweat came from the physical hardship of the cycling itself, but every breakthrough gave me the courage to keep going. The tears were for the many moving stories I heard at each 1919 service center. The phrase, "One Taiwan, Two Worlds," was etched deep in my mind. I saw firsthand that many people in Taiwan still face incredible challenges, and 1919 emergency relief provides them with timely help when they need it most.
One day, while praying, a question came to me: "Since participating in the 1919 is such a good and important thing, why did I treat it like a simple to-do list item? I did it, checked the box, and that was it?" After further prayer and confirmation, I decided to rejoin the team this year. This time, my participation isn't just about fulfilling my personal dream—it's for the many families in need.
